Where to begin?
I never thought I’d meet someone like you… kind, honest, caring, loving, genuine, considerate, protective when need-be, quirky, funny, charming… the list of positive adjectives goes on forever. You’re everything I could ever want, and yet you continually strive to become a better you, not only for yourself, but for me.
But to me, for me… you’re perfect. You might not think so whenever we bicker and get irritated by each other, but you are perfect in a bigger sense of the word.
How many people are blessed with someone who is made just for them? How many people are lucky enough to meet the one? I used to think no one was, but the day I met you I was proven wrong. With the billions of people in the world you wouldn’t think that only one person was made for you. However, I truly do believe God made us for each other. I might sound crazy and irrational, but I don’t care because I know we are.
Love is many things; it’s varied. But one thing it is not and never can be is unsure. I’m uncertain about so many things, but you are the only part of my life that I am always sure about. I never doubt my love for you. I feel it surrounding me every single day. I feel our love when we do idiotic things like make funny faces at each other. I feel it when we play-fight and laugh at stupid things that don’t make sense. I feel it when you’re away from me and when you’re right next to me. I feel it when you simply walk into the room. I feel it when we lay together in silence, just holding each other. I feel it when I lay my head on your chest, and listen carefully to your heartbeat. How lucky am I to have a best friend and the love of my life in one person…
I might be moving across the country in 4 days, but I am completely certain that I am madly in love with you, even more than I was 4 years ago. I might not know where we’ll both be or how we’ll both feel a month, a year, or ten years from now. But right now, at this moment, I know that I’m in love with you. I know God made for you to be part of my life… I don’t know for how long, but all I know is that I want to live and appreciate each moment we are given to the fullest. I’m elated and grateful that He even kept you with me for this long.
You’re my best friend, my happiness, my laughter, my passion… my everything. In my eyes, the God in you shines the brightest.
I wish I could thank you for every single thing that you’ve done for me. Thank you for constantly supporting me in my goals. Thank you for doing all you did to make sure that this last month in the Bay Area was the best. Thank you for being you.
